We are looking for a compassionate, patient and dependable Child Support Worker to provide safe, nurturing and consistent care to children and young people.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who wants more than “just a job”. You will have the opportunity to build positive relationships, create meaningful experiences and help young people develop their confidence, independence and everyday living skills.

What will you be doing?
As a Child Support Worker, you will:
- Build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Provide attentive care and support, keeping children safe and promoting their wellbeing.
- Support daily routines, personal care and everyday living activities based on each child’s individual needs.
- Organise enjoyable and meaningful activities that encourage learning, independence and social development.
- Support children with their emotional development through positive interaction, reassurance and clear boundaries.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and agreed support strategies.
- Support children to attend appointments, education and activities.
- Transport children safely when required.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of progress, behaviour, incidents and significant events.
- Work closely with colleagues, families and other professionals involved in the child’s care.
- Promote children’s rights, choices and participation in decisions about their lives.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive home environment.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with or supporting children and young people.
- Is caring, patient, empathetic and able to remain calm when situations become challenging.
- Can communicate effectively with children, families, colleagues and professionals.
- Understands the importance of consistency, safeguarding and professional boundaries.
- Can follow care plans and provide support based on individual needs.
- Has good organisational skills and can manage different responsibilities.
- Is comfortable using IT systems to complete records and reports.
- Is willing to take part in training, supervision and ongoing development.
- Holds a valid driving licence and is able to transport children when required.
- Has a genuine passion for helping children grow, develop and achieve.
